Requests will be processed in accordance with school board policy and administrative regulations (BP/AR 5117) and will be considered by the Board of Trustees at the regular meeting held in May 2018.
IDT requests from non-resident students received after April 17, 2018, to June 1, 2018, will be processed and considered at a board meeting in June 2018. Classroom and program capacity limits are specified in AR 5117.
Kindergarten registration for Nicasio School’s 2018-19 academic year is now underway. Children eligible for registration must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2018 (as per California Education Code - EC Section 48000[a]), and reside within the boundaries of the Nicasio School District.
Transitional kindergarten for the 2018-19 academic year is available to children residing within Nicasio School District boundaries who will turn 5 years of age on or between September 2, 2018 and December 2, 2018. Transitional kindergarten is a two-year program that uses a modified kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate. Upon completion of the transitional kindergarten program, students are promoted to first grade.
Parents can pick up registration packets from the school office M-F between the hours of 8:30am and 3:30pm. Registration materials are also available on the school website: www.nicasioschool.org.
Along with the completed registration forms, parents must submit copies of their child’s health and immunization records, birth certificate or passport (original or certified copy), and two forms of address verification including a current driver’s license or utility bill, and a property tax bill or notarized rental agreement. Please contact the school office at 662-2184 for more information.
